Kenilworth Castle

The history of Kenilworth Castle spans more than nine centuries. Its Norman keep dates from the 1120s. Its greatest and grandest period began when Elizabeth I’s childhood friend, Robert Dudley took possession of the castle in 1563. He spent a fortune turning it into a mansion to impress the queen.
